When you are on the road and in problem, you pray that someone guides/helps you out. We were in trouble, when we forgot our one of our baggage in the previous hotel(Manhattan Beach, LA). The staff were very helpful in helping us get our baggage back. It invovled a lot of phone calls and they were courteous enough not to bill extra for them. I highly recommend the hotel, it's close to the beach!
I found this hotel to be way better than the reviews that I read. It was clean, walking distance to the pier and beaches, and the staff was very friendly!
The attitude of staff was the best ever. New Wi-Fi equipment was installed for the whole motel because we had a poor connection. The standard of the room was so high that we extended our stay. I shall remember the stay fondly for a long time. Their interest in our welfare and enjoyment was genuine.
It was not possible to take it with us for the rest of our tour
It is closely located to the beach and the surrounding. It offers free parking.
The hotel staff made us wait for a long time at the reception. We thought there is no owner or staff at the hotel.
We stayed here as a stop-over on the way to Los Angeles. It is a budget motel, and for the money paid could not be faulted. Worthwhile as a budget choice when moving on, but for extended stays we woudl stay somewhere else.
Friendly and informative staff, clean room, decent price, well located.
Easy to find in Monterey. Easy parking.
Poor quality of bed, towels and linen. The room (located at parking level) would not lock.Wall too thin (we could here our neighbourg talking on the phone),... It is not near the sea or beach, but more in the area between the town and new business area (garages,...). Find a better motel in Monterey, or better, in Carmel.
This is a traditional motel offering basic accommodation in a convenient location along the coastal route. The rooms are overpriced for the basic level of facilities offered, though there was a pleasant swimming pool. The bedside light did not work and the room was clean but shabby and depressing. I booked two rooms as we were travelling with our teenage children, but despite requesting adjacent rooms, we were given rooms on two different floor levels with an apology offered, but no reason stated - I had booked weeks in advance, so this was a definite negative.
Hotel is located at the edge of the town and 10 min walk from the beach and downtown. Our room was comfortable, just what you need if you're just passing by. Staff was polite.
Rooms refurnished, clean
Motel was easy walking distance to beach & downtown, and was dog- friendly. Bathroom was nicely renovated for such a small hotel, windows were new. Room had microwave and fridge. Continental breakfast at the office was small but nice.
The only negative was that the carpet was stained and smelly (maybe that's the room they use for guests with dogs?). Some people might not like staying near the freeway but we didn't mind because we didn't spend a lot of time in the room.
The hotel was a short walk to the pier and the beach. It also was a nice walk to the downtown shops and restaurants. The motel was older but the bathrooms were renovated and the outside painted. The owners seemed to take pride in keeping everything clean.
Breakfast was not really breakfast. It was coffee, juice and danish or a muffin. So if you want eggs you need to go out for breakfast
Decent motel. The bathrooms were nicely updated and the outside was freshly painted. We just needed a one night place to sleep and it was sufficient. Ocean can be somewhat seen from motel, and only a 10 minute walk to the beach.
The breakfast was old danishes and muffins. Could have been better with a toaster and some bagels.
I thought the breaakfast could be improved!
The low price for the great value. Friendly staff. Marble countertops in the rooms. Comfortable beds. Great shower!
